warning, profanity. #LOL.
this is so true. the amount of perfectness that children are supposed to show is staggering, and it is mommy’s duty to supply it. especially if you don’t follow the prescribed route. hugs, Kelly!
Thank you! Ralph said the post seemed angry. I think I was just re-living my past anger. I don’t feel angry about it today, but I remember how angry I was. You know? Anyway… my intended recipient said it brought tears to her eyes & so that’s pretty cool. Lots of RTs today. Thank you for your comment!
Errrr, I know its not Facepalm, um Facebook…but I “like”. Resonates with me. My own 2 were never looked after or taken out by either of their grandparents or my multiple bros but each liked to tell me how they should be raised and behave. I said to talk to the kids about that. My mother in law thinks I’m mad but then my 10 yr old daughter thinks she’s creepy…..her description and quite apt . She doesn’t think anyone under 20 has a mind of their own and still tries to cut up my kids food on the odd occasion we are together to eat (they are 14&10)…anyhoo, I digress. I always feel all the feelings and think they are so silly and I am so stupid and I don’t know anything and I’m wrong and…….so, I really needed this today. I thank you .
Yes, thank you. I was also so, so angry those first couple years (and still aggravated now, but less so). I’ve been taking that anger and using it to inspire myself to ask what I can do for those new mothers (and all mothers). How can we support each other? It’s still hard, though, the way this society is set up, and the stigma attached to asking for help.
