Inspired by the 80s works of Andrew McCarthy! Size 18 months to 10, from Figgy’s Patterns’ Banyan, and custom made-to-measure!
First, the shirt.
A slim- or loose-fit option. Shown here: slim fit on my 10 year old son. Relaxed neckline with narrow band, and bias-cut pocket if you choose the awesome 80s-stripe option. Super-super soft. Raw edge hem and sleeves. Stripe and color choice, my discretion!
Secondly, the pants. These are super-soft denim, often misidentified in public for flannel!
Front and back pockets:

Yes, that’s right, the weather’s getting summery and I can’t think of much better than a pair of tapered, cuffed jeans and super-soft pocket t-shirt. Of course, I provide a few options if you’re the type who isn’t into acid wash (tsk, tsk), or perhaps your child doesn’t like stripes.
What we can take away from all this, though, is these are garments that will fit your child (or little friend) perfectly. Out of everything in the closet, my kids are always grabbing the things I make them. Comfortable, durable, and custom.
You can pick acid-washed (and I hope you do), but if you’d prefer a different look and a more crisp hand, I have the following linen colorways below:
From left to right: oatmeal, natural, granite, jitomate, melon.
All the linens are 100% natural fibers, but some are blended with cotton or rayon. Email kelly AT hogaboom DOT org if you have any questions. As always, you can read a bit more about construction, and see more views, at the Flickr tagset.
And finally getting some custom clothing means you get a complimentary SWEET 80S MIX CD made by Yours Truly. Andrew would totally dreamily smile at you.
Okay, I will only be making three packages. Filling out the form below ensures you are one of those three!
