Skele-Phone Dress

Old-school patterns have a lot to offer. Take this out-of-print Simplicity 4924 featuring a fitted bodice, gathered knee-length skirt, and large pockets for treasures to be stored:

So of course, the fabrics that make the most sense are a Normal Rockwell phone motif paired with one of Alexander Henry’s well-rendered pieces featuring skulls and roses.

Lined fully in a black quilting muslin the dress weight is sturdy for spring or fall or winter (paired with leggings, tights and a sweater!)
