Tonight I’m doing a little packing as tomorrow I’m up to my friend Amore’s in Olympia for crafting and candy-making. I KNOW, right? I’m borrowing my mom’s van and planning on listening to the 80s XM station all the way up, possibly quite loudly. And drinking a criminally-caffeine-loaded coffee drink. And I’m pretty sure Amore will have something delicious on for lunch. Who knows, there may even be some sunshine outside.
This is the closest I get to a “vacation” or break lately, and it’s a bit brief. Still, I [gladly] take what I can get.

Richness of yolks and lush citrus
Trembles before your fork
At midnight.
Satisfied sighs & low lights
I hope you have so much fun and relaxation! I’ll be willing it from the frozen plains!
Have fun!
By the way, I knows my poetry, and I just want to say how much I’m enjoying your small stones.
@k8
I had horrid sleep the night before, my gas ran out and stranded me partway, the ATM I needed didn’t work – but yes, I had a good time and we made delicious candy!
@Medrie
Ah, thanks… I can write and write and write but for some reason writing poetry is intimidating. I’m not trained and I don’t know how! But I’m not letting it stop me. The aim of the project, exercises in presence, is working well for me.
Hi Kelly,
I really want to make the booties but found out the moda-dea yarn has been discontinued. Do you know of a yarn that could be substituted? They are so adorable and I want to make them for my new grandson.
Thanks,
Denise
@Denise
That yarn doesn’t sound familiar – it’s not what I used. You can check my Ravelry project page (but you have to be a member of Ravelry, which is awesome BTW) for details on yarn.
Funny as tomorrow I have to head out and find some yarn to make some more pair – I’ll post here with pics etc. and make sure we figure something out for you.
