We had that odd hot-wet weather that is truly suck & weird. It rains but it’s too warm for my water-resistant peacoat, yet too wet for my little red car coat. Luckily there’s a solution for all that, which is:
¡Sopitos de la taquerÃa locales nuevos!
(photo is blurry from all the tastiness)
Seriously. These kinda saved my life. I ate them with glazed eyes while drinking an ice-cold soy mocha, double-shot. I have had an exhausting last few days. It was entirely necessary.
Home, things are going well. Except for the fact my children are insisting on watching the new Yogi Bear movie. Please Lord, give me strength. And I am not even kidding.
Evan and I keep trying to get ourselves to watch that, because one half of a podcast we love plays Ranger Rick. We haven’t managed it yet.
I think that clipart fits my homelife perfectly.
@Paige
I regret with most every fiber of my being I had to sit through that movie, although Anna Faris was (as always!) totally great. Hey, I don’t know where I’ve seen “Ranger Rick” before, but I have seen him somewhere!
@Luckychrm
You’re lucky to live where you don’t have so many neighbors. It’s like a fishbowl here. Heard a neighbor scream (for an extended period, and I do mean scream) at his son for pushing the lawnmower through his driveway which unwittingly deposited some grass clippings. Our driveway is 50% grass clumps!
The weather! We’re having weird weather also – cold and still very rainy, which is unusual for here and pretty frustrating (and yes, I am having similar problems with clothing – the whole staying dry enough/warm enough/not too warm bit). And my broken-toys-in-the-yard project is thriving, thanks. 😉
@Christina
Yes, the weird muggy/clammy/cold-then-HOT thing? Pretty hard to handle if you’re outside, unless you’ve got some posh clothing/gear. That’s OK I guess, I’m glad we have sunlight and are out of winter!
Amen, sister. And longer days too.
@Christina
Exactly. I swear I was this close to… I don’t know what. The longer days is a big help, here.
