I just read the article and what you had said to her. Wow, it’s almost as if she spoke with someone else and confused that person’s response with yours! Have you reached out to them to try to correct the issue, or do you care to go that far?
Also read the post re Game of Thrones. I read the books, but haven’t gotten into the show. A lot of the same issues show up in the books (in particular, this whole thing where everyone seems to be white, except perhaps Dragos’ crew). One thing that is very different is that in the books, the kids are prominent characters, and some of the more interesting ones. Interesting that HBO decided to change that.

Just realized that I commented on the wrong post. Commenting from my phone in bed at 4:30 am (small touch screen). Nels is a doll, btw. Both of your kids seem like such neat people.

Ha… no. Based on reading her twitterstream once people started responding to her article, and the four or five emails she sent me after the article posted, I’ve elected to disengage and let my one email experience remain published on Underbellie for anyone who wants to make up their own mind.

Oh, YOU were the one! *snicker*
Yeah, HBO kids usually just kinda hang out in the background quietly or make plot-points for other people. I loved the show “Deadwood” back in the day. There was ONE kid in it, and besides serving as Child-Who-Went-Through-Horrific-Scenario, then Child-In-Horrific-Circumstances, she sat in a corner the whole time. Literally and very quietly.
