Homemade pie awesomeness. Both of them with a slow-cooked dark chocolate custard. But that’s just the bottom layer. The pie on the left includes a vanilla layer and is topped with homemade whipped cream w/Mexican vanilla. Pie on the right, same as the pie on the left but with roasted coconut as well. I hear some of you assholes don’t like coconut, so whatever. Thought I’d defer to your taste.
You’ve got until 6:30 to reserve a pie. $20 apiece. Normally $25 but I’m having a sale. A black market, clandestine pie sale.
I’m sad we’re so far away from each other, else I would definitely snap up one of those pies! (The one without coconut, of course :P)
Damn. I didn’t read this in time to get a pie. They look so fabulous I kind of want to lick my screen. But, as usual, good job on kicking ass in the kitchen.
Hi Kelly, I have never even heard of Mexican vanilla before. What is the difference between that and the regular stuff you buy in the baking section?
@Elly
I wish I could airmail you a pie! I will post my chocolate cream (sans coconut) recipe soon.
@Shannon
I have a big-ass pumpkin pie and another chocolate cream, but I think those will be busted into pretty soon. If ou have a specific pie you want delivered, send me an email! I wouldn’t charge you $25, just like a couple bucks for the groceries if that seems fair.
@Mary
The vanilla was made in Mexico in small batches and brought back. It tastes like it has a cinnamony flavor, but not in an annoying way. However it is so strong I only use a bit, or the product ends up tasting too exotic!
