So yesterday I had the immense pleasure of spending an afternoon with three lovely women, in three versions of my latest summer dress.
An ivory with geometric motif in charcoal, for Phoenix:
A gorgeous teal for Astrid (um, what is up with her perfect accessories? Tomato-red toenails and heels; beaded earrings in canary? XOMG):
And a gorgoues double-faced periwinkle for Jen:
Needless to say we had a lovely time – and a fabulous lunch afterwards at Frontagers. I couldn’t help thinking these three women looked like three gorgeous summer blooms!
I am providingĀ a sew-along for this very dress. Here is a supply post: we start stitching on June 15th. This sew-along is appropriate for beginners, intermediate stitchers, or advanced practitioners. In addition, it is a wonderful pattern to get acquainted with Bootstrap Fashion, one of my beloved pattern companies.
See you soon! <3
How long is the sew along is it all in one day/night or is it over a few days is it video or us it just website following.what if I can’t find the double gauze, I would like a dress in lace overlay for a wedding any chance of that .xx
@Christine
The sew-along starts June 15th, and will be a short one – several posts over a week. The format will be written with tons of closeup pictures!
If you are experienced in sewing lace, I think this dress would work well for that. You’d want to allow extra seam allowance for your seam finishes. If you sign up for the sew-along, I can make sure to send you some good resources for finishing lace fabrics.
